Large Kantha Quilt - Floral

Kantha quilts have always been one of our favorite items to have around our home, and these Kantha lightweight queen size quilts have us giddy! Created by a technique inspired by Indian block printing, this larger sized kantha quilt has a richly colored floral design that is mesmerizing. We love that the larger size of these Kantha quilts make them perfect folding them at the foot of a bed or even draping them as a large throw over a cough or chair. When we began developing our collection for Haperson Hill Home, we wanted to create products that were not only beautiful but would also have a ripple affect of good. We have partnered with a group of artisans in India to create small batch items that will bring business opportunities to the artisans and bring the richness of their culture to our customers. This fabric pattern was one of the first we looked at and knew we would one day see it displayed in our store (and perhaps even our home)! We are so excited to finally bring this collection to you.

Lightweight Queen Size Quilts Details:

We have carried smaller kantha quilts for awhile now; however, we wanted a larger option in our collection for Haperson Hill Home. Each kantha quilt is crafted by artisans in India. Kantha is a type of embroidery craft utilizing multiple layers of stacked fabrics (traditionally old saris) to create thin cushions or quilts.  Each kantha quilt is one of a kind and will vary slightly in color and size. This kantha features a stunning floral pattern on the front side with a solid blue backing. This quilt is approximately 90 inches wide and 108 inches long making them the same size as a Queen size quilt/coverlet. These measurements will vary slightly from piece to piece. Enjoy displaying and using this lovely, lightweight kantha quilt in your home.
