Should I Buy An Easter Dress This Year?

"Should I buy an Easter dress this year?", you ask. Yes. Yes, you should.

Today was a day different from the last 300 something. Since I technically work in healthcare (even though I haven't actually gone to work in almost a year), I qualified to get my Covid vaccine. I registered in all of the various locations in the surrounding areas weeks ago. I was finally contacted to schedule my appointment at a university about 45 minutes from our home. I woke up and got the kids started with their virtual school day. Then, I did something sooo out of my current routine. I took a shower AND dried my hair! Well, okay, I did the dry the hair around the face, straighten the side-swept bangs, and throw the rest up in a "nice" ponytail thing. I put on regular clothes instead of my workout clothes or loungewear. I even put on a little makeup. I drove my car in silence, with no children, and listened to a very grown-up podcast. Coincidentally, I had finally plucked my eyebrows in natural light a few days ago. I was a new woman!

To give you a little background, my family and I have been in quarantine since March of 2020. Like many of you, we have a family member (our son) who is at very high-risk, and we are doing everything in our power to protect him and the rest of our family from Covid. So when I stood in a socially distanced line with hundreds (perhaps thousands) of random strangers on the university campus I attended years ago, the power of the moment was not lost on me. Despite the circumstances that led up to that moment, I felt more normal than I have in a very long time. Why? I think a large part of it was that I had done some physical self-care that morning.

Physical self-care can be eating well and exercising. It can also include the things I mentioned before. It can be as simple as taking the time to shower, fix your hair, and put on something you wouldn't exercise or sleep in. So, with that in mind, buy yourself an Easter dress! It'll be a wonderful change. Besides, that one you bought last year and didn't end up wearing probably won't fit after the Covid-19/25/30 (lb).

Here are a few of our favorites:

1. Chevron Tiered Lace Midi

This lovely pale blue fit and flare midi features a tiered chevron pattern and banded waist. It is also available in ivory.

2. Tiered Lace Midi Dress

This gorgeous, fully-lined midi-length dress has a delicate floral lace overlay with a banded waist that is so flattering on all body types. This dress also comes in a lovely ivory. This will be the perfect dress for upcoming weddings as well!

3. Tulip Sleeve Embroidered Maxi

This cornflower blue maxi features flattering tulip sleeves, floral embroidery, and a maxi-length tiered skirt.

4. Striped Embroidered Ruffle Sleeve Dress

This dress is so cute and festive. The embroidery along the yoke reminds us of confetti eggs!

5. Multi-Colored Print Tiered Maxi Dress

Nothing says Spring like a colorful sundress. This flowy, tiered maxi dress is so easy to wear - you won't want to take it off.
